The story follows a CIA cryptographer reeling in the after-effects of his better half’s death following a terrorist attack in London. The lead character then demands that his bosses intervene and jump on the case instantly, but the contrasting internal concerns with their line of work prevent them from doing so, leaving him on his own. The cryptographer, feeling ravaged and betrayed, chooses to blackmail the agency and starts an extensive training program so that he can pursue the terrorists himself and avenge his better half.
